Emmanuel Gonzalez - Player.
I enjoyed Peru very much because it was a good experience overall. I liked specially how every time we went out to explore Peru, the moms of the Peruvian kids would come and care for us. I also liked the way the Peruvian moms were to us, they were very nice. And last it was a good experience because I made new friends.

I was excited when my son was invited to travel with the Port Chester 99 team to Lima, Peru. Being my first time to South America, I didn't know what to expect. The AELU organization that hosted us was wonderful. The parents were some of the nicest people i have met. The environment was very safe as we stayed on the AELU campus. The campus was like an Olympic village with restaurants, a cash machine, and a dollar exchange service. There was a laundramat accross the street. It was like going to summer camp, with the parents staying in bunk beds with the kids. Besides soccer, the kids were kept busy with a game room, pool, and playgrounds. I even got to do my morning jog at their sports stadium. The food was delicious. The hosting parents organized outings for excellent restaurants, shopping, the zoo, the circus, and a traditional Inca Dance show. They even took me out to dinner for my birthday and got a birthday cake for my son. If given the opportunity, I would definitely go back to Peru again. What I liked most was the people! They are vey warm hearted!
