3v3 Soccer is a variety of soccer (association football) played between two teams. Each team may only have 3 players on the field at a time (hence providing the name, "3 v 3", "3 versus 3", or "3 on 3"). This style of soccer is more commonly referred to as a "small-sided" game, as compared to a full game with larger teams. The field used is smaller than a regulation soccer pitch, instead typically 30 yards wide by 40 yards long, although these dimensions vary quite a bit when the game is played indoors due to the varied styles and sizes of indoor pitches. It uses a much smaller net than fullsided soccer. In most 3v3 there is no keeper, although one variant, 3v3 Micro Soccer, does use a keeper.

"3v3 Soccer" is claimed to be the fastest growing form of soccer in the World. [1] Its greatest popularity is in the United States, where hundreds, and perhaps thousands of Tournaments take place each year, however it is also now begun to catch on in many other countries. Nike helped to popularize it with its international Joga3 Joga Bonito Tour back in 2006, in which teams qualified at local events around the World, culminating in a big 3v3 World Cup played in Brazil. [2]

It is a much faster paced, and higher scoring game than traditional full sided soccer. The speed of the attack, the use of triangulation, and the strategies bring aspects of Hockey into the game. The quick shift from one end of the field to the other after a goal is scored, or upon loss of possession is reminiscent of Basketball. It requires the blending of individual skills with teamwork.

Its gain in popularity is largely because every member of the team gets equal playing time, and equal touches on the ball. All players on the field are a part of the play. Because of the speed of the game, and the fact that players are constantly in motion, there are frequent substitutions. A typical player may be rotated on six times or more in one game. There are no permanently assigned positions as there are in full sided soccer, giving each team member equal status and equal importance. This helps to develop individual skills.

Currently there are Five major tours in the United States, Colorado based Kick-it 3v3 (used to be called Got Milk 3v3) [3],Nashville based3v3worldwide, Utah based 3v3Live[4], Florida based Challenge3v3[5] and 3v3 World Tour,[6] a fun and exciting 3v3 soccer tour that offers a 3v3 ranking system.[7] There is also a new player on the block, California based US 3v3 Soccer [8] is promoting 3v3 soccer throughout California and the West. Canada also finally has its own home grown tour attempting to promote 3v3 there. Ontario based Ultimate 3 on 3 Soccer [9] is the first Canadian based 3v3 Soccer Tour

PC 2003 Surprise at Ramapo tournament...!

THE BEGINING OF A NEW LEYEND

The Long Island Rough Riders.
BU12 Tri-League- with class and authority
PC Panthers beat NY Soccer Club 3-1

In front of a very large crowd at Columbus Park, located in Port Chester, New York the Port Chester
Panthers won their 2nd straight tri-league game 3-1 victory over a very good NYSC U12 team.
Panthers have now two wins one tie.  According to the panthers coach J C, "I was very impressed with the level of play of the team as we were playing our system very well.  It also appears that the team is developing good chemistry and I was very impressed with the play of our mid fielders Steven Carias,   Andy Ramirez, Jonathan Garces, Brian Cohn and William Galeano who continues to improve".  The defense conformed by Josue Enriquez, Julian Coutinho and Kevin Aguirre was a tough wall to penetrate, our forwards were unstoppable headed by Zaire , Alejandro and Crist displayed great playing abilities and our Goalie Victor Hernandez  was bigger than ever. Francisco came in for Jonathan, Zander  came in for Crist, Edison for Kevin, Jeremy for Andy and Diego for William.

The goals
The goals came in at the 2nd minute, when Josue won a ball in our side of the field proceeded to pass the ball to William who pick up the ball with his right foot and with a quick reaction pass the ball to Andy with a single touch pass to Crist, then Crist to Zaire who dribble between two players and shot the ball to the right side of NYSC goalie making it 1-0. The second goal came at the minute 20 when Steven Carias got the ball from Brian and he took a shot which the ball hit one of NYSC players and  cross the end line (corner kick). Alejandro proceeds to take the corner kick he hit that ball with class and authority resulting in an Olympic GOALLLL. NYSC goalie never saw it coming it was too fast nothing he can do. The score 2 to 0.

Second Half
With a couple changes  minute 45 in mid field couples players shovel each other lose ball one of the midfielder one on one with our defender pushing own the ref did not call, play kept on going then took a shot to goal and score  for NYSC nothing the goalie could have done. With the score 2-1 in favor of Panthers the game became more exciting the ball was going up in down the field Panthers had a substitution Jonathan came back in, a couple minutes later at minute 50 it was a throw in Alejandro serve the ball to Zaire who then cross the ball and as the ball was going towards the goal Jonathan headed the ball in for 3-1, Francisco went back in last 10 minutes of the game resulting in 3 more attacks with scoring chances. Francisco had a shot to goal and a couple assists to Steve who almost score the fourth goal.
OVER ALL A GREAT GAME
