AN INDEPENDENCE CUP WITH A COFFEE FLAVOR

6th Independence Cup has a new Champion, Semillero de Futbol Chaverra / Envigado (Colombia) has finished in first place after defeating every rival they have faced. An undefeated SEFUCHA beat Deportivo Independiente de Medellin (DIM) 6-0 in the finals.

DIM has reached this stage overcoming Atletico Nacional 3-1 in the semifinal. SEFUCHA did the same thing with New York Hota Lions 2-0.

Port Chester was the witness of another great event. "It was a great tournament with coffee flavor SEFUCHA in 1st place, DIM in 2nd place, and Atletico Nacional in 3rd place" said a local aficionado.

Participated in the event, three teams from Colombia, Boston-Massachusetts, Long Island, Queens and New Rochelle and Port Chester.

In Summary, approximately 600 people that attended Columbus Park were the true winners after watching great world class soccer skills displayed in a very colorful event hosted by Port Chester Soccer Club for the 6th time.
